In 1970, Vern Davies established the family business, originally known as "West Wyalong Auto Parts and Accessories." Tragically, Vern passed away in 1999, which caused Anthony and Leeanne Davies to return from the Central Coast to take over the business. Before returning, they had operated "Spiller Central Coast," a nuts and bolts business. In 2000, they rebranded the business as "Davies Automotive and Industrial," adding an industrial component to their automotive offerings, broadening their scope and ensuring they could meet the growing needs of both sectors.

In 2018, the family faced another loss with the passing of Anthony. However, his son, Tyler Davies, who had joined the company in 2013, carried the torch forward. Tyler brought fresh ideas, energy, and a deep respect for the family’s legacy, positioning the business for continued success. In 2020, the business celebrated its 50th anniversary, coinciding with a significant renovation of the showroom, giving the shop a fresh and updated look. This milestone marked not just the passage of time, but also the evolution of the company as it adapted to modern demands while staying true to its roots.

In December 2024, Tyler expanded the legacy further by opening a new branch in Temora, a move that reinforced the family’s ongoing commitment to serving the community and honoring the values set by Vern. This new location allowed Davies Automotive and Industrial to extend its reach and provide the same high-quality automotive and industrial services to a new area, ensuring that future generations would benefit from the dedication to excellence that had been the hallmark of the business since its founding. With an eye on the future, Tyler continues to steer the company with the same vision and dedication his grandfather and father had, securing the family’s place in the industry for years to come..
